Crafter + Mogford have been involved in the design of a 9 hole extension to the existing 9 hole Bicheno Golf Course on Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast. In conjunction with Greg Ramsay of project managers Experience Consulting, we have developed a model for the extension of the existing course to 18 holes on a large ocean front parcel of land that adjoins the golf course. In addition, the plan includes the development of over 60 residential allotments, with the majority of the lots

fronting the golf course. The oceanfront land has spectacular coastal sand dunes and our plans allow for 5 holes to play through this. When completed, Bicheno will have the only 18 hole golf course on the East Coast and will be one of the select few Australian courses with true oceanfront links holes. Over time it is also proposed to upgrade the existing course holes. Development approval was granted in 2012 with construction scheduled to commence in late 2012.
